How to use IGORA ROYAL L-89? ›

To be used on base 6 and darker. Mix color cream 1:1 with IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer 12% (40 Vol.). Wear gloves. Development Time: 30-45 min Emulsify and rinse thoroughly. Shampoo and condition the hair with BC Bonacure pH 4.5 Color Freeze.

Recommended 9% (30 Vol.); On more than 90% white hair use 6% (20 Vol.)

Mix colour creme 1:1 with IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer 9% 30 Vol. Apply IGORA Skin Protection Cream to protect the hairline and wear gloves. Development Time: 30-45 min. Emulsify and rinse thoroughly. Shampoo and condition the hair with FIBREPLEX or BC Bonacure pH 4.5 Color Freeze.

Apply IGORA ROYAL Absolutes only to the re-growth area, taking fine sections. Leave to develop for 30–45 minutes. After 15–20 minutes (depends on development time of product used), apply the corresponding IGORA VIBRANCE or Chroma ID shade to the mid-lengths & ends.

Schwarzkopf's Oil Developer is a conditioning, caring peroxide that's optimised to work with new IGORA ROYAL but which can also be used with old-style IGORA if you still have some tubes to use up.

Too much developer added to a hair color formula will dilute the artificial dye molecules, and add too much oxygen to the formula. This will typically display a sheer end result that does not have the depth you may have anticipated.

The general rule is to use one part of hair dye and two parts of developer (or 1:2) while mixing hair color. That means, if you have 2 oz of hair color, you should use 4 oz of a developer.

If you're looking to maintain your natural hair color or darken it slightly, 20 volume developer is a good option. It won't lighten your hair much, but it will help the hair dye to better penetrate the hair shaft and result in longer-lasting, more vibrant color.

so we went in and I used agora vibrance from Schwarzkopf which is a demite permanent color. but if you use it with 13 volume it will really blend gray hair really really nicely.
